At the end of love's rope,
She hangs suspended,
About to be lifted,
Or fall to the ground.
She has bared herself,
Given herself to this moment,
Prepared for what results,
And yet fearful of it.
At this, her point of no return,
She realizes that to remain entangled
Is no choice, that freedom
Only lies in her decision, so...
With a deep breath,
Aware of her nakedness,
The exposure of mind and body
And of heart...
She steps into the light,
Daring him to look,
Feeling his gaze as real
As fingers on her skin.
Fearful for a moment,
Until the realization,
The choice made, the chance taken,
She has more freedom than ever...
No longer must she hang
Suspended between fear and doubt,
For she has stepped into love's circle,
And will dance there with him.
