Who am I?

Hi There!

My name is Kerry, and I am a new volunteer at ArtsKeeper. I'll be sharing my books and writing process as well as sharing more about all the services and creators here. I also write on mental health and wellness on another blog. My passion is writing creepy/horror, and chapter books for kids with a message within the magical adventures.

I have dabbled with quite a few things, but the basic professions were a commercial cleaning business, and a karate school. Both of which I have retired from but I still practice karate. (Uechi-Ryu, which is a sister style to the Goju-Ryu in the original Karate Kid movies. The real Mr. Miagi and Mr. Uechi were best friends back in the day.

I am founder, president and CEO of ArtsKeeper Inc, the social media platform for anyone who loves the Arts, for all artists, writers, musicians, photographers and performers, as well as enthusiasts and patrons. ArtsKeeper is the only social media site that focuses on the needs of all artists and artisans; whatever their art or craft, whatever their stage in life. Why did i found ArtsKeeper? - To make it easier for people to make a living as a creative, as an artist.

Previously, I was founder, president and CEO of XBI Software Inc. In that role, I was a past chair of XBRL Canada and member of the SBR (standard business reporting) Forum. I was an editor of the first Canadian GAAP PFS taxonomy, and of the International XBRL Global Ledger Taxonomy. I am an SBR and XBRL evangelist and consultant, and I have served on many XBRL working groups.

Arts expose our creative minds in expressive ways! Artskeeper's vision of embracing arts in all their forms is a vision that encompasses all of us and has a very promising future. To serve this great vision and the great team that makes it up as an analyst is truly fulfilling.

As for me, I am an aspiring author with a background in analysis and public policy. My first work is a poetry book titled; 'The Poetic Pacific' and I am currently working on my second one titled; 'The Mind Reading World.'
