one night of pleasure
of sinful but innocent passion
never intended to happen
and yet it did...
oh, yes it did...
and in forty years,
i've not forgotten
does she remember?

reads his poetry
never knows his lovely words
poems leaking pain

some terrible times
helped to bring the poet forth
blessing or curse?

I've given too much
yet i continue to give
as if there were no end

each word touches me
no matter the message
because you wrote them

seven veils indeed
for me she will dance with one
which is quickly gone

on public display
bodies of an ancient world
adult entertainment

we hurry homeward
eager to close and lock the door...
for sins together

i'll never kiss you
never hold you in my arms
only my words will

first neck and shoulders
second soft warm curve of lips
third stand and adore

i have no armor
i'm not here to protect you
except from yourself

A special present
Unwrapped button by button
Clothing opening
Falling all around her feet
Like Christmas wrapping paper

encouraging lust
passion and pleasure's pursuit
practice what i preach

a woman ablaze
she's formed of fire and shadow
of passion and peace

close your eyes to feel
pretend for a moment it's me
when wind caresses

always been alone
no matter those around
never felt touched

time and hurt leave scars
reminders of ancient wounds
love must recognize

we're so different
yet alike so many ways
poets' love affair

an older woman
showed me depths of love and life
of body and soul
-----
bite marks and bruises
for some symbols of passion
for others abuse
-----
i chase you with words
touch your mind with true desires
that fit into yours
-----
we've both had lovers
perhaps bodies will again
but hearts only one
