you long to expose
all your innermost secrets
to one you can trust

each raindrop's caress
gliding down her burning skin
leaving her breathless

we've committed sins
and human will continue
love will understand

some mornings after
last night's sins don't seem like sins
but more like blessings

his shutter captures
her most daring exposure
and the poet sighs

sadness upon me
once more the darkness descends
turns everything gray

yes i have a soul
it longs for a heaven
here and now with you
