as his words appear

she sits back and dreams his sins

smile upon her face

screen glow in his eyes

fingers resting on the keys

smile upon his face

they read words just sent

both aware of distant sighs

their hearts' twin echoes

oh so young you seem

yet an older woman shows

in the words you write

a woman wise in pain

who's been led astray too much

still believes in love

so she risks her heart

gasps at soothing words that fall

upon still open wounds

don't care who came before

hope that you were treated well

on your way to being mine

it's lonely out here

waiting for you to appear

high point of my day

sips mystery brew

wearing her zodiac socks

reads new temptations
