Stand at the water's edge

Look across the great expanse,

The wind that caresses you,

Substitute for my embrace.

Wind spray against your cheeks,

Could perhaps be kisses.

Distant lonesome cry of gulls,

The sound of my weeping,

As I stand at the water's edge,

Longing for you as

I hope you do for me.

glistening blossom exposed

dark petals displayed

loving though i am

i suppose i love too much

to be understood

the ride of your life

astraddle astride gallop

a pounding rhythm

stood outside your door

not enough courage to knock

left you a poem

wanting to unwind

but first let's relax you dear

we love each other

i'll leave you alone

i certain you're tired of me

people usually are

all the injuries

all the time i've spent alone

never understanding why

i don't belong here

i'll just leave my love and go

you'll like that better

lifetime dream of you

yet never have i found you

you would have told me
