my mind starves for yours
longing to entwine our thoughts
share our images

bare your thoughts for me
show them naked as i write
beauty before me

he was barren ground
she saw worth among his weeds
she found his flowers

can you hear footsteps
walking towards you in the dark
it's me brining light

somewhere a poem
is still read by a someone
i meant something to

he's nothing special
old man writing poetry
a few people read
-----
brothers and sisters
no longer fit uniforms
they once wore with pride
-----
won her not with force
overwhelmed by poetry
joined him in his words
-----
she revealed herself
by the clicks she left behind
knew he'd understand
