she found his pool of words
slipped naked into poems
bathing in his thoughts

flowing streams of words
bathe her most private places
naked mind immersed

if he could touch her
how she aches to feel his hands
do what words have done

was a lost angel
before she and poet met.
made their own heaven

my pleasure island
explore her uncharted shores
sweet inlets and bays

her phantom poet
writes imaginary words
that she loves so much

never one of them
not accepted by the rest
doomed to be poet

on life's shore a shell
a glistening piece of life
someone must write of

gardener poet
tending the female flower
writing my praises
