  • Commission | ArtsKeeper

The ArtsKeeper 15% Commission Explained Welcome to ArtsKeeper! We're excited to have you join our community of talented artists. We want to be transparent about how our platform operates, including our commission structure. ArtsKeeper charges a 15% commission on each sale. This means when a piece of your artwork sells, you receive 85% of the sale price. This commission is taken from the final sale price, excluding shipping and taxes, which are handled separately. We understand that any commission can feel like a significant amount, so we want to be clear about the value we provide in exchange for this fee. Our 15% commission is designed to be fair and competitive, especially when compared to the broader art market. For context: Traditional Art Galleries: It's common for brick-and-mortar galleries to take a commission of 40-50% (or more) on each sale. This covers their high overhead costs for gallery space, events, and staff. Other Online Marketplaces: While some online platforms may have lower commissions, they often have a more a la carte fee structure, with additional charges for listing fees, advertising, or payment processing. Our 15% commission is a simple, all-inclusive fee. What Your 15% Commission Supports: Your commission is not just a fee—it's an investment in a platform that is dedicated to helping you succeed as an artist. The 15% commission allows us to: Attract and Retain Buyers: We invest in targeted marketing and advertising campaigns to bring a global audience of art collectors and enthusiasts to your work. This includes digital marketing, social media promotion, and partnerships with art publications. Maintain a Premium Platform: We continuously invest in our technology to provide a beautiful, user-friendly, and secure website. This includes a seamless checkout process, robust artist profiles, and tools to help you manage your sales and inventory. Provide Dedicated Support: Our team is here to assist you with everything from listing your artwork to resolving any issues with a sale. Your commission helps us provide personalized, professional support to ensure a smooth experience for both you and the buyer. Handle Secure Transactions: We manage all payment processing and financial security, giving you peace of mind and allowing you to focus on creating. We handle the complexities of online payments, fraud protection, and invoicing. Our goal is to be a true partner in your art business, handling the logistics and marketing so you can focus on what you do best: creating incredible art. We believe our 15% commission is a fair reflection of the comprehensive services and exposure we provide, positioning ArtsKeeper as a valuable and profitable platform for artists.
